When The Manitowoc Company implemented a common control system across its family of cranes, the company recognized an opportunity to use simulators to support the marketing and sales program behind the initiative, as well as deliver operator training.

MONTROSE – Students in the Montrose Community Schools Career Technical Education (CTE) construction program have been learning at an outdoor classroom lately.
CTE construction teacher Mike Roberson said, “This is the third year for the new construction program at Montrose Hill-McCloy High School. We have been building the program and the curriculum each year. We are proud to say we are now on our first off-site build for the new construction program.”

Mikschl expands Demag mobile crane fleet
Germany-based crane services company Mikschl AutoKrane has added two new Demag cranes to its fleet.
The company purchased an AC 60-3 mobile crane and an AC 45 City crane, which has a length of 8.69 metres and a width of 2.55 metres. While the AC 45 City offers 45 tonnes of capacity, the AC 60-3 is in the 60 tonne capacity class and has a 50 metre telescopic main boom.
