Have you met Mark?

We pride ourselves in partnering with the most experienced trainers, which is why it’s an absolute privilege to have Mark working with us now, bringing over 30 years of industry experience to the table. After graduating from Paul Smith’s College where he explored forestry and studied urban tree management (UTM), Mark started his own business, ALLMARK Tree and Crane Service. ALLMARK has been proudly serving the Capital District including Rensselaer, Columbia, Saratoga, Albany and Hamilton Counties for over thirty years.

Even before he went professional, Mark has always had a passion for the outdoors. When he was nine or ten years old, he used to go with his dad and grandparents into the state forest to cut their own firewood, and he still thinks back with nostalgia to the tuna fish sandwiches that his grandma would pack for the trip. As he got a little older he joined the Boy Scouts, which enabled him to take trips out into the wilderness and hike in different locations like Philmont in New Mexico.

Well respected within the industry, Mark has given numerous presentations including one for the Florida Arborist Association, TCI Expo and Connecticut Arborist Association. He loves the opportunity to train because he enjoys interacting with like-minded professionals, seeing fresh perspectives, and usually finds that he learns something new from each training session as well. His mission in training is to help others become better, faster, safer, and avoid some of the on-the-job injuries he has suffered.

Not only is Mark a business owner, former Boy Scout of America, NJ Crane Expert trainer and certified arborist, he’s also a certified badass (official certificate pending). At 14 he put on his first set of spurs and climbed a pole. Since then, he has taken his climbing to new and impressive heights; he enjoys ice climbing and he’s a two time NYSA Tree Climbing Champion who has also competed internationally three times. While he is hoping for things to “slow down” in the future, that vision still includes a lot of hiking, camping, water skiing and physical activity that would put a lot of us out of shape folks to shame.
