Hunterdon County Poly Tech Career Visit

The need for certified mobile crane operators is increasing and according to the AGC demand is high in the tri-state area. In March 2022 the NJ Crane Expert team introduced our BIK TC 106 to students at Hunterdon County Poly Tech. While the Tech school teaches heavy equipment, cranes are not a part of the current curriculum.

Students learned how arborists, tree care providers, and other industries use a variety of cranes. In addition, we introduced basics of inspection check-lists such as deploying outriggers, testing levers, and reviewing placards such as legible load charts and danger warnings.

We’re guessing every student will agree the highlight of our visit was that each one of them was able to run the crane. There’s nothing like hands-on crane experience to hook a future crane operator!
